She has always had a special interest in the management of Musculoskeletal disorders and to complement her skills as a physiotherapist in this field she qualified as a Body Control Pilates Instructor before starting her physiotherapy degree.

She has a particular interest in the treatment of the spine and in 2007 completed a course in Australia which specialised in the assessment and treatment of the spine and earned a Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy. This has allowed her to begin a Masters Degree in this area from Curtin University , Perth , Western Australia which will enable her to develop further knowledge of the treatment of Musculoskeletal disorders with a particular focus on the spine.

She also has a strong interest in the management of Chronic Pain and has worked in the Pain Management Unit at The National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases in Bath , helping patients to return to a functional and fulfilling life despite suffering from chronic pain, a debilitating disorder for many people. Within this field she also gained considerable experience of treating patients, both adolescents and adults, suffering from Hyper mobility Syndrome.

As a Musculoskeletal practitioner Jemima uses various manual techniques including Maitland, McKenzie and the Mulligan concept and so can select the most appropriate treatment for the individual patient. To expand her treatment options further she has also completed a post-graduate training in acupuncture and is a practising member of the AACP.

Jemima regularly attends training courses both to further develop her current skills and also to ensure that her knowledge of the continually developing field of physiotherapy is right up-to-date.
